Photographer Peter Lindbergh Dies at the Age of 74

Known for his memorable cinematic images, Lindbergh shaped the fashion and portrait photography.

The legendary fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh passed away this Tuesday at the age of 74, it is announced on his official Instagram account.

Lindbergh was born in Germany in 1944. He enrolled the Berlin Academy of Fine Arts in the early 1960’s.

Lindbergh shot campaigns for numerous fashion brands including Dior, Ermanno Scervino and Calvin Klein, as well as covers and editorials for some of the greatest fashion publications, such as Vogue, W Magazine, Numero and more. He photographed the Pirelli calendar twice, in 1996 and 2002.
