Discover Louis Vuitton’s Pre-Fall 2020 campaign Inspired by vintage book covers, photographed by Collier Schorr. Brand’s womenswear creative director, Nicolas Ghesquiere, imagines a cast of intrepid heroines on vintage-inspired horror book covers.

Nicolas Ghesquiere has pegged Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Sophie Turner, Chloë Grace Moretz, Jaden Smith, and more to star in the campaign.

The brand follows the motto that “fashion is a novel”, using the sci-fi titles The Devil’s Mansion, The Haunted Garden and Arachno-Mania, and more. Taking the cultural references even further, Louis Vuitton has adorned one of the collection’s t-shirts with the original cover from William Peter Blatty’s 1971 cult science-fiction novel The Exorcist.

This meeting of periods, stylistic movements and anachronistic combinations brings to life a rich cast of costumes.In such a ‘wearable library’, each outfit writes its own chapter made up of romantic monologues.
