Discover AREA Spring Summer 2021 RTW02 Collection, that explores an idea of spiraling – staying at home with nowhere to go, longing for elegance and glamour – The AREA girl alters her wardrobe to fit her current situation. Fashion photographer Paul Kooiker captured the lookbook featuring models Rikkie Kolle and Shanti Rosa. In charge of styling was Anna Classen, with casting direction from Holly Cullen, creative production by Kareem Burke, and production by Leo Marcus. Beauty is work of hair stylist Olivier Schwalder, and makeup artist Kathinka Gernant.

“Historic spiral breastplates get translated into horse hair tube pipings bustier jackets. From there the tubing gets knotted into bow like finishing on accessories nodding to our spring Couture collection. We looked at our precious couture pieces and started photographing and xeroxing these pieces and we started screen printing it on t-shirts, gowns, and shirting. How can the memory of precious pieces live in our lives, almost like your favorite band t-shirt. We also experimented with translating our signature cupchain pieces into a metallic photographic screen print on stretchy body conscious mesh pieces that evoke ease and glamour.” – from AREA
