DIOR Men’s artistic director Kim Jones and Sacai‘s creative director Chitose Abe team up for DIOR x SACAI Men’s Capsule Collection, that fuses both brand’s identities, codes and outlooks. The collection, framed through the heritage of Dior, is the hybrid of both labels signatures – it mixes Dior‘s tailoring with Sacai‘s sportswear style, Sacai‘s technicality with Dior‘s savoir-faire, while the French house’s characteristic silhouettes are reinterpreted with the modern fabrics and techniques characteristic of the Japanese brand.
“A creative exchange between Paris and Tokyo – a feature of couture creations by Christian Dior himself – is expressed throughout. Japanese denim is used for pieces that blend workwear shapes and utilitarian detailing with the refinement of a Parisian couture house; emblematic Dior pieces, including soft berets executed by Stephen Jones, are re-examined and reworked, embracing Dior history from a new perspective.” – from DIOR
Fashion photographer Brett Lloyd captured the lookbook featuring models Ludwig Wilsdorff, Thatcher Thornton, and Woosang Kim. In charge of styling was Ellie Grace Cumming.
The Dior Men x Sacai collection is launching in November 2021.
