Jordan Brand never ceases to amaze its followers. The brand is gearing up for a big Spring 2022 season with a variety of silhouettes that are already turning heads. With the Air Jordan 4 being one of the line’s most popular shoes, Jordan Brand is piqueing fans’ interest by introducing a new “Military Black” edition in May 2022.. These Air Jordans have been making headlines in the sneaker world since photos of them first leaked early last month.

The iconic silhouette is distinguished by its traditional color-blocking design in light gray, black, and white. Leather side panels, light gray mudguards, and traditional netting on the mid-foot and lower throat bring these colors to life. Other elements include black eyelets, black heel counters, and Jumpman branding, in addition to the leather and suede construction.

Check out the official images of the upcoming Air Jordan 4 “Military Black below.

Air Jordan 4 History

The Air Jordan 4 was designed by Tinker Hatfield, a world-renowned footwear designer, and was first released in 1989.

The sneaker was released in four original colorways and was priced $100 at the time. The famous mesh netting on the side of the shoe is one of the model’s trademark characteristics, and it was employed to reduce the shoe’s overall weight at Michael Jordan‘s request.

Fast forward to today, and the Air Jordan 4 remains one of the most coveted styles in the Jordan collection. The Air Jordan 4 has solidified itself in sneaker history as one of the best, having served as the canvas for numerous brand and artist collaborations.

Air Jordan 4 Retro ‘Military Black’ Design Release Information

The Air Jordan 4 will return in late Spring 2022 in a brand-new colorway inspired by the original “Military Blue” model, but with modest color alterations. Despite the fact that this drop has the same mostly black upper as its predecessor, this colorway has “black” color accents where the OG has “blue.” This not only gives the shoe a “OG” vibe that most seasoned sneakerheads would like, but it also offers it a fresh design that newcomers will appreciate.

The iconic silhouette is defined by a distinctive color-blocking design in light gray, black, and white. The toe boxes and medial sides of the premium leather uppers are molded with light gray suede leather. The net is attached to the toe boxes, which are then placed beneath the laces and eyestays. The black eyestay fittings are set on both ends of the white lace arrangement, giving the shoes a more polished appearance.

The white leather tongues are now covered in black Jumpman insignias. On the back of the tongues is an Air Jordan logo. The sneakers also feature a white Jumpman logo on the heel tabs. The gray outsoles are also tied together with the white midsoles. Classic Air units are included in the soles as a nod to comfort and support.

Finally, the shoe’s black insoles are adorned with the famous Jumpman logo in white to complete the look.
