Situated on the 294 kilometers long Montengrin seaside, Donji Stoliv is a small town located in the heart of the stunning Bay of Kotor, known for it’s magnificent old towns and breathtaking mountain views. Bay of Kotor also known as Boka, was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979, for it’s cultural and historical significance. The rich naval history of the region is preserved with many tourist cruisers and ships coming through the Bay of Kotor every day.

HOTELS

Driving through the Bay, you can’t miss the stunning stone waterfront villas that are charachteristic for this region. Among these picturesque buildings is the Blue Kotor Bay Premium Spa Resort. Not only does this five star hotel provide amazing views of the Kotor Bay and fits the exquisite charm of the surroundings, but it also offers a full spa and recovery experience.

Location

As we previously mentioned, this adult-only resort is located in the Bay of Kotor, just a ten minute drive from the old town of Kotor and a 15 minute drive from the Tivat Airport. Surrounding the hotel is the Vrmac mountain, extension of Mount Lovcen, well known for its air spa, also a popular destination for hiking, orienteering and mountain biking. Just a boat ride across the Donji Stoliv is the stunning old town of Perast with it’s famous Our Lady of the Rocks islets. The hotel is perfectly situated for tours all over the Montenegrin seaside but also for enjoying the privacy and the silence of this isolated resort.

The Story

In the summer of 2020, Blue Kotor Bay opened its doors for the guests. Even though coronavirus pandemic was in full swing, it didn’t stop the tourists from coming to this oasis of health and relaxation. The hotel was made on the ground of Hotel Vrmac, renovating it and completely re-branding it to a Premium Spa Resort which is now. The main goal of the hotel is to provide the guest a serene and secure atmosphere for maximum enjoyment, while also providing the best hospitality possible. Through the adaptation process, Blue Kotor Bay made significant changes in terms of environment and ong term sustainability by using smart room systems, paying attention to water and electricity consumption, properly handling the kitchen waste and more.

Design

#IntoTheBlue perfectly describes the interior and exterior design of the hotel. The lobby of the hotel, the rooms and hallways all stay true to the traditional white colourways of this whole region with hues of blue representing the tranquility from the nature surrounding the resort. The mix of traditional and modern can bee seen in various gold details, from oddly shaped mirrors, to wonderful statues and light fixtures. Matching the green outsides, the hotel is filled with plants making it a true sight for sore eyes.

All of the rooms have a king-size beds with supreme quality matresses, extremely comfortable linens and duvets, equipped mini-bar and snack bar with Montenegrin and international specialties, complementary bottled water, tea and coffee, luxurious toiletries, natural light and more.
