Fashion house Coperni presented its Pre-Fall 2023 collection with a lookbook featuring Ylang Messenguiral, Ines Boullant (also known as u.r.trax), and Nina Zem, three extraordinary individuals who exemplify the brand’s representation of women’s strength. As a model, DJ, and actress, respectively, each of these accomplished women has previously collaborated with the brand, making them the ideal ambassadors for this collection.
Celebrating the notions of community and friendship, the lookbook for this collection was lensed by fashion photographer Pierre-Ange Carlotti, a longtime acquaintance of the brand. The models are photographed in front of a monumental USM Haller furniture installation. The collection also announces a renewed partnership between Coperni and the furniture design company.
In the collection, the house’s signature elements of speed and motion are embodied in motorcycle cut-out leather jackets and new racing trousers that seamlessly merge with the brand’s techno-chic DNA. The cut-out designs are creatively reimagined as leather and shirt combinations, while an electric print evoking the universe of speed and technology adds excitement. The color palette of royal blue and lime green is further explored with lace pants and a mesh top.
Beige classic shapes, such as the belted tailoring jacket and asymmetric mini dress, are introduced to balance the vibrant colors. The cargo skirt’s front opening lends it a more feminine appearance. A unique combination of shearling and leather creates a novel design at Coperni. The addition of fur to cowboy boots, heels, and new clog platforms accentuates the silhouette’s furry strength. In addition, new aviator jackets and spectacles complete this daring ensemble.
Coperni introduces a unique accessory, the Emoji purse, in keeping with the digital era. This accessory adds a touch of fun and modernity to the collection with its meticulous replication of the shape and texture of the emblematic bag emoji found on our phone keyboards. The minimal tailoring cape from the previous show is transformed into a dark blue denim piece with a more relaxed style and is accompanied by other denim garments to expand the brand’s offerings.
