Nothing, the innovative tech company, has just unveiled its second-generation flagship smartphone, Phone (2), designed to elevate smartphone usage and foster mindfulness. With its new Glyph Interface at the back, Phone (2) empowers users to access key information at a glance, reducing the need for constant screen interactions. The revamped Nothing OS 2.0 prioritizes utility, minimizing distractions while offering a seamless and fast user experience, all encapsulated within Nothing’s unique aesthetics.

TECH

Powered by the cutting-edge Snapdragon® 8+ Gen 1 Mobile Platform, Phone (2) offers Nothing’s most premium smartphone experience to date. A robust 50MP dual rear camera with advanced algorithms ensures true-to-life photography, while the stunning 6.7-inch OLED display with LTPO provides an immersive visual experience.

“With Phone (2), we deliver top-notch features while encouraging more intentional smartphone usage through hardware and software design innovation. The smartphone is a vital tool in our lives, but it has increasingly become a distracting force, making us less present and less creative.”
– Nothing’s CEO and Co-founder, Carl Pei.

Iconic Design and Enhanced Aesthetics

Phone (2) showcases meticulous engineering, with a refined version of its predecessor, Phone (1). The symmetrical and harmonized design approach emphasizes shapes, colors, positioning, and texture of each component. Providing a more ergonomic hands-on experience, Phone (2) features a 1 mm thinner midframe and a pillowed glass back.

The New Glyph Interface: A Gateway to Mindful Living

Central to Nothing’s smartphone design philosophy, the Glyph Interface encourages users to be more present in their everyday lives. Essential information is easily accessible without constantly checking the screen. Personalized light and sound sequences can be assigned to contacts and apps, ensuring users stay ahead of incoming notifications.

Nothing has expanded the capabilities of the Glyph Interface on Phone (2), offering greater customizability and functionality. It now serves as a visual countdown and progress tracker for ride or delivery services, while also providing a volume checker and timer. Essential Glyph Notifications enable users to stay focused by keeping the top-right LED segment on until a notification from selected contacts or apps is addressed. Additionally, users can create their own unique Glyph Ringtones through the new Glyph Composer.

Nothing OS 2.0: A Distraction-Free Experience

Nothing OS 2.0 is designed to reduce distractions and encourage intentional smartphone use. Featuring a monochrome layout and the option to remove app labels, Nothing OS 2.0 allows users to navigate their devices more intentionally, removing cues optimized to grab attention. Home and lock screen utility is reimagined with widgets, granting access to key functions without opening apps. Users can customize grid design, widget size, and color themes while enjoying new folder layouts and illustrated covers.

Premium Camera Upgrades

Phone (2) offers Nothing’s most exceptional smartphone camera experience, with a 32MP front camera and advanced 50MP dual rear sensors. An 18-bit Image Signal Processor (ISP) processes camera data up to 4,000 times more than its predecessor, enabling cutting-edge algorithms for unrivaled accuracy in photos and videos. The new Advanced HDR algorithm captures intricate details within RAW frames, producing true-to-life images. Motion Capture 2.0 facilitates real-time identification of moving subjects for precise focus. Video recording reaches new heights with stunning 4K resolution at 60fps on the main rear camera and Action Mode for seamless filming on the move.

Premium Performance and Sustainability

Phone (2) is packed with the Snapdragon® 8+ Gen 1 Mobile Platform and a 4700 mAh battery, delivering fast performance and lasting battery life. It supports fast wired charging, reaching 50% power in under 20 minutes. The edge-to-edge 6.7-inch LTPO OLED display with adaptive refresh rate ensures optimal power consumption and peak performance without compromising battery life.

Committed to sustainability, Phone (2) achieves a 5 kg reduction of CO2 compared to its predecessor, exemplifying Nothing’s ongoing dedication to eco-conscious initiatives. Key sustainability efforts include the use of recycled aluminum, plastic, tin, copper foils, and steel, zero waste in the assembling process, and 100% renewable energy for assembly.

Nothing Ear (2) Black

The brand introduces a sleek black variant for Ear (2) alongside significant audio updates on the Nothing X app. Ear (2) black elevates the sound experience with its Hi-Res Audio certification and LHDC 5.0 technology. Equipped with an 11.6 mm custom driver, the earbuds deliver deep, powerful bass and crystal-clear highs. A new dual chamber design enhances sound quality through smoother airflow. Ear (2) features convenient Dual Connection for easy device switching, Personal Sound Profile for personalized audio, wind-proof and crowd-proof Clear Voice Technology, and Personalized Active Noise Cancellation that adapts to the user’s unique ear canal shape. The black colorway, unveiled after Ear (2) received the Red Dot Design Award, boasts a stylish smoky and matte black finish.

Nothing X app introduces the Advanced Equaliser, enabling Ear (2) and Ear (stick) users to customize their sound with precision. The intuitive graphical interface allows a deeper level of customisation through a parametric 8-band equaliser with real-time preview, full Q factor, and frequency control. Users can freely adjust their music experience and even share or download EQ profiles through QR codes.

Additionally, Nothing introduces Noise Reduction for Ear (stick), creating an immersive music experience by attenuating ambient noises. The half in-ear design of Ear (stick) ensures all-day comfort, complemented by exceptional sound from its 12.6 mm custom driver. The unique charging case takes inspiration from classic cosmetic silhouettes, adding a touch of elegance to the listening experience. Users can access the Noise Reduction feature by navigating to the Settings in the Nothing X app.
