The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) has unveiled the preliminary New York Fashion Week schedule for September 2023. The much-awaited event will commence with Peter Do‘s debut show as the creative director of Helmut Lang on Friday, September 8. Closing the week with a bang is Raul Lopez, the esteemed winner of the 2022 CFDA Fashion Awards for Accessories Designer of the Year, who will present the LUAR show on the evening of Wednesday, September 13, 2023.
This year’s NYFW boasts an impressive lineup of over 71 confirmed designers, with additional collections to be presented digitally and through appointment arrangements.
The schedule includes the return of beloved brands such as Altuzarra, Anna Sui, Area, Brandon Maxwell, Carolina Herrera, Christian Siriano, Collina Strada, COS, Dion Lee, Eckhaus Latta, Elena Velez, Gabriela Hearst, Jason Wu, Khaite, LaQuan Smith, Michael Kors, Palomo Spain, Prabal Gurung, Proenza Schouler, Puppets & Puppets, Sergio Hudson, Theory, Tibi, Tory Burch, Ulla Johnson, and Willy Chavarria.
A notable highlight of the upcoming NYFW is the anticipated comeback of Ralph Lauren to the New York runway. Additionally, Jonathan Cohen and 3.1 Phillip Lim are set to make a triumphant return to the week’s events.
Excitingly, the preliminary schedule welcomes first-time additions such as Advisry, Chan Chit Lo, FFORME, Grace Ling, and Sho Konishi, adding fresh perspectives to the diverse fashion landscape.
The CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalists Colin LoCascio, Diotima, Kim Shui, Kozaburo, Melitta Baumeister, Sami Miró Vintage, Tanner Fletcher, Who Decides War, and Zankov will also grace the week with their exclusive collection showcases, further showcasing the depth of talent and innovation within the American fashion scene.

The iconic Spring Studios will continue to serve as the central hub for IMG’s NYFW: The Shows, offering a central location for attendees to experience the latest in fashion innovation. Moreover, the shows and presentations will be accessible via Runway360, CFDA’s cutting-edge digital hub and business tool, supporting American fashion brands with year-round collection releases.
