Fashion brand OUR LEGACY unveiled its Spring Summer 2024 Collection titled “Snow in April“, which was inspired by the unpredictable weather of early spring and depicts the essence of this unpredictability. The collection explores the transition from presumably warm days to unexpectedly chilly reminders of winter. It embodies this phenomenon’s characteristics and recreates them in select items. The garments are intended to convey a sense of insulation while remaining light and airy.
SPRING SUMMER 2024 COLLECTIONS
The color scheme consists of arid and dusty hues such as golden brown, muddy lavender, carbon, and occasional pink accents – hues typically associated with autumn but also present in the Swedish spring. Conforming to the collection’s conceptual theme, there are graphic elements inspired by horror films throughout. There are garments within the outerwear category that create the illusion of a heavier outerwear while being designed specifically for milder temperatures. Modularity plays an important role, providing adaptability to accommodate the unpredictability of weather.
I always liked the idea of watching horror movies during summer daylight to soften its intent. The mixing of the fillm’s visuals and sunlight causing it to be faded and overexposed has inspired the prints present in the collection. – Cristopher Nying, Creative Director
This dichotomy can also be seen in the knitwear. Knitted in muted hues and patterns reminiscent of winter clothes, the hemp yarn is lightweight and breathable. The suiting category emphasizes an airy aspect, typically made of linen, while evoking the texture and color of heavier wool suits. The denim selection introduces new silhouettes, including the Trebble and Fatigue cuts, as well as a proprietary “chain-twill” weave. Corduroy pieces have been pigment dyed, resulting in color evolution and diminishing over time, giving each garment character and individuality.
