The iconic PUMA Mostro, a sneaker noticed for its distinctive design, is being renewed in “Pink Delight” and “Ignite Blue” colorways. Originally unveiled in 1999, the Mostro’s concept draws inspiration from a blend of athletic and leisure footwear, marrying the streamlined, rugged aesthetics of 1960s sprinting spikes with the relaxed vibe of 1980s surfing shoes. The name “Mostro,” Italian for “monster,” perfectly describes the bold and hybrid nature of the design, which features the sneaker’s hallmark spiky sole and a unique forefoot strap closure.

This year, following an earlier release in a Light Grey and Yellow color scheme, the sneaker’s return to the spotlight was artistically documented by photographer Chris Maggio in New York City, illustrating the Mostro’s versatility and appeal among the city’s diverse inhabitants. The launch was further highlighted at PUMA’s “Welcome to the Amazing Mostro Show,” coinciding with New York Fashion Week. Puma Mostro in Pink and Blue is set to be available from March 23, 2024, at select retailers worldwide, including prestigious names like Kith and Slam Jam.
