Converse and renowned fashion designer Isabel Marant have teamed up to create a collection that merges classic sneaker style with a contemporary twist. Marking Marant’s first footwear collaboration, this collection introduces the new Chuck 70 Wedge alongside a fresh take on the iconic Chuck 70, showcasing Marant’s signature blend of spontaneity, elegance, and nonconformity.

The collaboration pays homage to Marant’s influential role in the sneaker wedge trend of the 2010s, bringing her distinct Parisian aesthetic to Converse’s beloved Chuck Taylor franchise. The Chuck 70 Wedge, featuring a hidden 2.5-inch wedge heel, offers a nod to Marant’s fashion-forward vision and celebrates the designer’s love for combining high-fashion with everyday wear.
Beyond the new wedge silhouette, the collection also includes Marant’s reinterpretation of the Chuck 70 hi and low top sneakers, embellished with frayed cotton and polyester Jacquard uppers, raw-edge canvas overlays with the Isabel Marant logo, multicolor pinstripes, and translucent outsoles. This fusion of iconic Chuck details with Marant’s unique design DNA makes the collection a testament to “effortless luxury.”
Reflecting on the collaboration, Marant shared how her early fascination with altering her sneakers as a child inspired the creation of the wedge Converse. “My intention was to have an honest collaboration between the two companies — creating something that is desirable while also keeping a classic element. Something that is not complicated and remains true to the vibe of the original Chuck Taylor,” she explained.
The Converse x Isabel Marant collection will debut on September 11 at the Isabel Marant Turenne Paris pop-up, as well as Isabel Marant stores and isabelmarant.com. It will be available globally the following day on converse.com and at select Converse locations. This collaboration also heralds the introduction of Converse’s new inline heel offerings, with a Chuck Taylor All Star Wedge set to release on October 3, continuing the brand’s commitment to innovative and stylish designs.
