Salomon has teamed up with VANDYTHEPINK to unveil a fresh twist on the iconic Speedcross 3, Salomon’s trail-running staple. The collaboration is an unconventional homage to designer Vandy’s love for burgers, bringing a playful yet stylish take on performance footwear. Launched today, this release also marks the first time Salomon has partnered with a Korean-owned brand, adding a significant milestone to the company’s collaborative history.

The Speedcross 3 VANDYTHEPINK is a visual celebration of the components of a burger, incorporating VANDYTHEPINK’s distinct style throughout. The upper features a vibrant graphic layout, with materials and colors that pay tribute to each part of a burger: rich brown for the bun, green for the lettuce, and deep hues for the patty. Adding another playful element, the sock liner sports an all-over fries print, emphasizing the collaboration’s fun and bold aesthetic.
Vandy, the founder and designer of VANDYTHEPINK, expressed his excitement about the partnership, highlighting his love for Salomon and the opportunity to represent his culture through this collaboration. “Salomon has been one of my favorite brands for a while, and I’m super grateful for the opportunity to represent my culture as the first Korean-owned brand they’ve collaborated with,” Vandy said. He further noted the desire to create a shoe that blends trail-running performance with streetwear appeal, making the Speedcross 3 the perfect canvas for his vision.
Beyond its playful design, the Speedcross 3 VANDYTHEPINK maintains all the features that have made the original Speedcross 3 a favorite among trail runners. The shoe incorporates breathable open mesh construction on the upper, ensuring optimal airflow to keep feet cool and comfortable during runs. To celebrate the launch, Salomon will host an event at its SoHo store on November 23rd, from 11 AM to 3 PM. This event will offer a limited quantity of the Vandy x Salomon Speedcross 3, with each purchase accompanied by exclusive branded merchandise, including a tote bag and a crochet sneaker accessory. 7th Street Burger will provide complimentary burgers, adding to the thematic fun of the collaboration.
