PUMA Hoops has teamed up with LaMelo Ball and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to deliver a dynamic sneaker collection that fuses basketball innovation with pop culture nostalgia. This collaboration, set to drop throughout February, highlights four unique designs inspired by iconic TMNT characters.
The collection kicks off with the MB.01 Baxter Stockman, featuring a vibrant, iridescent colorway that reflects the chaotic energy of the infamous mutant scientist. With its multi-hued upper and bold accents, this pair channels the quirky yet sinister aesthetic of the half-man, half-fly villain. Following closely is the MB.04 Donatello & Raphael, a mismatched design that blends Donatello’s signature purple and Raphael’s fiery red. The MB.04 Leonardo & Michelangelo sneaker pairs Leonardo’s sharp blue tones with Michelangelo’s bold orange, showcasing the Turtles’ personality through their iconic bandana colors. Rounding out the collection is the MB.03 Lo Krang, a hot pink and purple design inspired by the villainous alien Krang, delivering a futuristic vibe.
PUMA Hoops’ advanced technology is at the core of the sneakers’ design, making them ideal for performance on the court. The MB.01 Baxter Stockman and MB.03 Lo Krang models incorporate NITROFOAM™ midsoles, ensuring lightweight responsiveness and optimal comfort. A durable, full-coverage rubber outsole provides enhanced traction for quick moves, while the breathable monomesh upper offers superior ventilation and support.
For the MB.04 Donatello & Raphael and MB.04 Leonardo & Michelangelo, PUMA introduces a 5D printed upper – a layered, alien-inspired texture that envelops the shoe. Design details like LaMelo Ball’s signature phrases “1 OF 1” and “RARE,” flames at the heel, and a spaceship motif on the outsole add a personal touch that ties into Ball’s “otherworldly” theme. A custom TMNT graphic on the heel completes the look.
The collection offers fans an exclusive reward: those who collect all four styles will unlock the opportunity to receive a limited-edition MB.04 Shredder sneaker, free of charge. With only 444 pairs produced, this exclusive design is a prize for serious collectors. The MB.04 Shredder will feature details inspired by the TMNT’s arch-nemesis, adding a layer of rarity and exclusivity to the collaboration.
