Homme Plissé Issey Miyake presents its Autumn Winter 2025.26 Collection, Lithology: The Curious Stones, drawing from the natural formation of rocks and minerals. Examining the way stones develop over time, the collection reflects their textures, colors, and layered compositions through innovative garment construction. Earthy tones and structured silhouettes mirror the raw qualities of geological formations, offering a thoughtful interpretation of nature’s design.
The collection introduces Agate, a print series inspired by the intricate layers found within stones. Mimicking the organic buildup of mineral deposits, the patterns emerge through a process of layered paint application and varied pressure, resulting in a rich visual effect. The series extends across multiple pieces, including tops, trousers, and accessories, each showcasing a dynamic interplay of color and texture.

Another key piece, the Cavity Coat, takes cues from the natural formations of caves. Designed with a double-layered structure, it incorporates large openings on both sides, offering versatility and a sculptural presence. The fabric, selected for its flexibility and lightness, enhances the coat’s fluid movement. A functional detail allows the hem to fold upward, transforming into two oversized pockets, demonstrating the collection’s focus on adaptable design.
The concept of smooth, rounded stones informs Stone Cloud, where garments take on curved, organic shapes. The pieces are constructed with overlapping elements that can be adjusted and secured with buttons, allowing for multiple ways of wearing. This modular approach echoes the gradual shaping of stones by water and wind, creating a sense of softness within structured forms.

Utility is emphasized in Quarry, a workwear-inspired series that takes reference from the practical attire worn in quarries and mines. Characterized by a straightforward silhouette, these garments incorporate multiple pockets for functionality while maintaining a clean, minimalist aesthetic.
Wool Like Light introduces a textured melange fabric that mimics the visual depth and warmth of wool. The material, reminiscent of rough stone surfaces, is used to construct coats, jackets, and pants, offering a balance between structure and comfort.

For winter accessories, Cashmere Winter Gear delivers a selection of balaclavas, scarves, and gloves crafted from soft cashmere. Designed with rounded forms, each piece can be styled in different ways, reflecting the collection’s emphasis on fluidity and adaptability.
Through precise fabric manipulation and structural experimentation, Lithology: The Curious Stones brings the natural evolution of geological formations into the language of clothing.
