The night is calling.
The night is the place of desire, of transition and restlessness.
We are roaming through its darkness, crossed by moments of silence,
surrounded by the cool air which refreshes and stirs us at the same time.
But somewhere in this nothing – there it is, the light.
A gentle glow that attracts us
and leads us to a place of comfort.
It is the moment in which we realise:
The night is ours.
Marcel Ostertag – INSOMNIA

For the presentation of his Autumn Winter 2025 line titled “INSOMNIA“, Marcel Ostertag takes its audience on a journey through the pulsating night life. Therefore this line is a true celebration of emotions – until the sun sets. This tour is exciting, mystical and radiates a never-ending energy. This glamorous set takes its inspiration from the club cultures of the seventies and modern rhythms. Thus, he creates a collection that does not only live in the moment, but also mirrors himself in fashion.

FALL WINTER 2025.26 WOMENSWEAR

While wandering around at night, dreams and reality are creatively blurred. Energetic beats increase the energy.
Exactly in this moment of darkness, the audience should feel united and free. When the sun sets and the morning comes, Marcel Ostertag’s sparkling celebration continues.

With choosing a mix of various patterns that remind us of the light and lamp design of the seventies and graphically modified jungle prints, the range presents itself as a visual celebration. While designing this line, Marcel Ostertag photographed interior elements himself and remastered them graphically. The artprints of this line certainly stay in mind because of their incomparable depth. One print, one of the designer’s photographs into a lamp, reminds us of a kaleidoscope.

In addition to a lot of linear prints, Marcel Ostertag eases some creations with opulent, eye-catching and swinging frills. Therefore these looks appear soft and sensual as well. Furthermore he creatively plays with various silhouettes: on the one hand, a lot of long, floating dresses that are often provided with asymmetries, can be spotted. They radiate a rather blithe, dreamy overall picture. On the other hand, precisely cut suits and blazers underline a very well-ordered, structured and strong overall appearance. Oversized pieces protect the wearer at night and are very comfortable to wear. They keep his muses warm during long, cold nights.

The colour palette is dominated by glamorous nuances that radiate the energy of the night, such as azure, petrol, night black, lime, mint, silver, green, orange and cream. Luminous mint is used as the signature colour this season and appears various times. These elegant tones are then paired with sophisticated fabrics, for example faux leather and sparkling sequins. As material choice, a lot of ex designer fabrics have been reused. With that choice, the designer focuses on a sustainable production and a better impact on the planet.
These designs which are ranging from cocktail and evening dresses to pant suits and floating caftans, are both suitable for everyday use and for special occasions. Plain colours play a key role this season.

This collection can be interpreted as a celebration of the night. It harmoniously unites the longing for freedom and companionship and expresses the essence of nightlife in every single piece.
Highlights are sophisticated embroidery and crystals that are integrated in the designs. Several models are embellished with numerous, glittering brooches and details. The Bijou Brigitte jewellery he added to complete some of his outfits seem to be inspired by one vision: everything can sparkle and blossom! The designer’s collections have always been a harmonious fusion of fashion and jewellery. Moreover golden rings and cut outs contribute to a mystical total impression.

At this fashion show, Mister Spex and Marcel Ostertag presented their new eyewear collection, which can be now purchased in stores and online. Inspired by the seventies’ glamour and matching the mood of this line, colourful unisex models for every occasion were introduced.

With his Autumrn/Winter 2025 line “INSOMNIA”, Marcel Ostertag stays true to his vision and signature style: he introduces a glamorous, energetic collection that is never out of style and still stays wearable and is yet unique. These timeless pieces will sparkle through the night and in the closets of his inspiring muses.

“For me, fashion is more than a profession. It is a purpose of life“, the designer declares.
This passion for his work is the motivation that makes INSOMNIA a collection that keeps sparkling and shining – until the sun goes down…
