Seoul based contemporary brand SYSTEM unveiled its Fall Winter 2025 collection, At the Very Moment, with a presentation at the National Museum of Natural History in Paris. The collection revisits the childhood experience of exploring parents’ wardrobes, a moment of curiosity and admiration. Inspired by Norman Rockwell’s Dressing Up, SYSTEM examines how clothing becomes a bridge between youth and adulthood, transforming familiar garments into contemporary expressions of nostalgia. With approximately 335 ready-to-wear and accessory pieces, the collection reconstructs wardrobe staples from the past through modern tailoring, material innovation, and layered styling.
FALL WINTER 2025.26 MENSWEAR COLLECTIONS
Classic patterns play a central role in this season’s aesthetic. Gingham and glen check are integrated into various silhouettes, offering a familiar yet refined touch. An all-over print inspired by vintage ties is prominently featured on silky shirts and scarves, evoking memories of childhood encounters with formalwear. These elements bring a sense of sentimentality, connecting past experiences with present interpretations of style. Meanwhile, outerwear leans into a mix of structure and movement, utilizing fabric compositions that balance softness with durability.

Materials contribute significantly to the collection’s nostalgic yet contemporary narrative. Soft textures such as alpaca wool, suede, and velvet shape voluminous silhouettes, giving garments a plush and comforting feel. Heavy wool coats in deep shades of brown, camel, and khaki ground the collection in warmth and structure, while sheer fabrics introduce an ethereal contrast in pastel tones of pink, lavender, and mint. This interplay between weight and lightness, density and translucency, reinforces the theme of transformation, echoing the evolving perception of clothing from childhood to adulthood.
The System Fall Winter 2025 collection was presented in the Gallery of Mineralogy, a historic space within the National Museum of Natural History. The venue’s grandeur provided a fitting setting for the collection’s introspective themes, emphasizing the passage of time and the preservation of memories. A key visual feature of the presentation was the Cabinet of Curiosity, a mirror installation designed to prompt self-reflection and spark intrigue. Thoughtfully curated elements extended beyond the runway, with guests receiving SYSTEM Teddy Bear bag charms, a nod to childhood keepsakes that hold sentimental value long after youth fades.

A collaboration with BARACUTA added another dimension to the collection, integrating British outerwear craftsmanship into SYSTEM’s reinterpretation of classic silhouettes. The partnership introduces five styles, including updated versions of BARACUTA’s signature G9 and G4 jackets. Studded embellishments, layered constructions, and modified proportions modernize these iconic pieces, blending SYSTEM’s contemporary aesthetic with BARACUTA’s legacy of utility and craftsmanship. The collaboration also includes hooded zip-up jackets and accessories.
