Song for the Mute x adidas continue their creative partnership with the launch of the 005 Collection, marking their fifth collaboration. This latest release introduces two sneaker silhouettes, each available in three distinct colorways, alongside a selection of apparel that reinterprets everyday essentials through a textured, pastoral lens.
SNEAKERS
Drawing from themes of rural landscapes and organic materials, the collection embraces earthy hues, layered textures, and aged finishes. By balancing technical elements with raw, tactile details, the brands craft a line that feels both modern and grounded in natural influences.
The Adistar Cushion arrives in Black, Clay, and Olive, featuring a low-top silhouette with a technical edge. Its upper consists of sheer open mesh, reinforced with suede and pony hair overlays, creating a contrast between lightness and structure. The Three Stripes branding appears in brushed suede on the inner-facing side, while the outer-facing stripes feature a satin finish. A dusted, timeworn outsole gives the sneaker a worn-in look, adding depth to its design.
The Superstar 82, a reworked version of the classic silhouette, introduces a soft, tactile approach with vegetable-tanned suede, full-grain leather, and rich tonal hides. The materials create a worn, organic aesthetic that complements the sneaker’s earthy brown, milky off-white, and black color options, named Toast, Milk, and Animal. A custom-molded shell toe and antiqued metal eyelets add a sense of depth, reinforcing the collection’s connection to aged, lived-in textures.
Beyond footwear, the 005 Collection extends into apparel, offering a selection of sweatpants, track jackets, tees, and sweaters that reflect a shepherd-like, nomadic aesthetic. Earth tones dominate the palette, while acid washes and textured knits bring an organic, well-worn feel to each piece.
The collection will launch exclusively through Song for the Mute on March 7, with a wider global release beginning March 13. This latest collaboration continues to push the boundaries of material exploration, delivering a collection that reimagines both sneakers and apparel through a lens of texture, time, and natural influence.
