adidas introduces the London Originals Collection, marking the return of the trefoil to one of tennis’ most iconic tournaments for the first time in three decades. The 36-piece release draws from the 1972 tournament in London, reviving vintage court styles and translating them into apparel, accessories, and footwear.

Stan Smith’s influence anchors the collection. The design team reinterpreted silhouettes he helped popularize, incorporating key elements from 1970s tennis. Open collars, green detailing that references the grass surface, and tonal trefoils appear throughout shirts and polos. Zip pullers shaped like tennis balls and trefoil-and-tennis-ball tape linings on select tops, including the Women’s WOW Tank Pro, Polo Pro, and Tank Top Pro, add discreet layers of tennis-specific detail.

The full apparel lineup includes options for both women and men. The women’s range features a dress, onesie, tank top, pleated skirt, polo t-shirt, jacket, long-sleeve t-shirt, and shorts, all available in sizes 2XS–2XL. The men’s selection includes a polo t-shirt, tank top, regular t-shirt, long-sleeve t-shirt, tight shorts, and ergo shorts, offered in sizes XS–2XL. Each item is designed to mix and match easily, whether styled head-to-toe or paired with everyday pieces.

adidas integrated its CLIMACOOL technology across the collection to support performance. The FreeLift Tee Pro and FreeLift Polo Pro feature CLIMACOOL+, engineered for improved breathability and moisture management during play.

Several pieces explore movement through exaggerated shape and volume. The design team transformed the Adibreak snap pant silhouette into a wide-leg version with extended trains and signature button closures. The two-piece women’s dress echoes that direction, designed for on-court function and off-court presence. These items connect adidas Originals identity with modern performancewear through shape and construction.

The collection also includes accessories designed with the same visual consistency. A tennis bag, bucket hat, and handbag complete the offering, matching the core clothing through material choices and design details.

adidas athlete Stefanos Tsitsipas reflected on the collection’s connection to the sport’s past and present: “This tournament has always meant something special to me. Growing up, I and many other athletes dreamt of playing here. I’ve always looked up to the legends of the sport – players like Stan Smith, who made the trefoil iconic on court. I see clips of matches from that era, always appreciating the style on show, so I love the idea that adidas is recapturing that through pieces that feel and look amazing, both on and off the court.”

Kerryn Foster, GM adidas Specialist Sports, commented on the creative direction behind the collection, noting its design discipline and material focus: “This collection is a curated balance of elevated design and technical precision. Modern yet timeless, it brings refined court style to life with versatile pieces that move effortlessly from high-performance play to everyday wear. Working within The London Originals Collection’s tight color palette demands a heightened attention to detail – delivering depth through material, silhouette and crafted finishes. Every piece stands strong on its own, but together, they tell a cohesive story.”

The London Originals Collection is available now at adidas.com and via the adidas app.
