The 2025 edition uses the same core elements, black ballistic mesh, glossy patent leather, Gamma Blue embroidery, and a Varsity Maize heel mark, while refining the silhouette to follow early Air Jordan 11 proportions. This approach creates a release that honors the original pair without altering its essential character.

The upper begins with black ballistic mesh, which forms the foundation of the shoe and shapes the lines that define the AJ11. Jordan Brand reinforces the toe and midfoot with a patent leather mudguard that wraps the shoe with a continuous curve. For 2025, the brand raises the cut of this mudguard to match the height used on early production years of the model. This shift changes the visual balance of the shoe, giving the mudguard a stronger presence and restoring the proportions that first appeared on the silhouette’s earliest colorways.
A black leather heel panel introduces the main accents. The lateral side carries an embroidered Jumpman in Gamma Blue, a detail that gave the original release its defining identity. Above it, a Varsity Maize “23” marks the textile back tab and completes the heel configuration. These two color elements stay exactly where they were placed in 2013, preserving the specific layout that set the colorway apart when it debuted.
The midsole uses black Phylon foam, which houses a full-length Air-Sole unit. This cushioning system supports the entire foot and keeps the construction consistent with earlier versions of the Air Jordan 11. Beneath the midsole, the outsole uses blue-tinted rubber with herringbone traction pods placed at the forefoot and heel. This arrangement adds grip without disrupting the shoe’s visual flow. A carbon fiber shank plate sits under the arch and introduces rigidity, giving the shoe a firm center that stabilizes each step.
