Lil Uzi Vert is closing the year with the single “What You Saying,” a release tied to their recent alignment with Roc Nation Distribution. On Sunday, December 21, Uzi alerted fans to the track through an announcement styled like a fashion show invitation. The message arrived via Instagram, framed with theatrical language that positioned the release as an event.

“It is my great pleasure to present my single ‘What You Saying’ that will be released later this year,” Uzi wrote in the caption. The note continued with a sense of forward motion, adding, “Remember, this is just the beginning. You are all invited to my fashion show. Thank you for your attention and patience.”
The announcement follows a year that marked a shift in how Uzi releases music. Earlier in 2024, Uzi formalized a partnership with Roc Nation Distribution and marked the move with the release of “Chanel Boy,” a track produced by ZeeGoinXrazy. That song served as the first public release tied to the new deal and set the tone for what followed.
The recent partnership places Uzi within a small circle inside the Roc Nation ecosystem. They are now one of only three artists managed by Roc Nation while also working with Roc Nation Distribution. Uzi is additionally signed to the company’s publishing arm, creating a layered relationship that spans multiple sides of their career.

“Chanel Boy” marked the first release tied to this new phase, and it did not stand alone for long. Uzi followed it with “Relevant” and “Regular,” continuing a steady run of new material. This activity followed the arrival of Uzi’s Eternal Atake sequel earlier in 2024, released through Generation Now and Atlantic.
“What You Saying” now enters that sequence as the latest release. The fashion show-style invitation points to Uzi’s continued interest in framing music through broader cultural cues. As the year ends, the single fits into an ongoing progression, pointing toward a longer cycle still unfolding.
