BOSS introduces its Year of the Horse capsule to mark the upcoming Lunar New Year, drawing from the visual language of traditional Chinese gold craftsmanship while grounding the collection in the house’s precise tailoring and contemporary codes. The result is a focused seasonal release that approaches festive dressing through material detail, surface work, and disciplined construction.
LUNAR NEW YEAR COLLECTIONS
World swimming champion Wang Shun, a BOSS brand ambassador, leads the campaign. His presence sets the tone for the collection’s narrative, centered on drive, stamina, and forward motion. The campaign film moves between forged gold textures, the force of galloping horses, and Wang Shun’s physical intensity, creating a visual rhythm that mirrors the symbolism of the zodiac sign and the momentum associated with the year ahead.

At the core of the capsule is a close study of traditional Chinese gold-working techniques. Motifs inspired by chasing, engraving, cloisonné, filigree inlay, and granulation appear throughout the collection, translated through modern manufacturing methods. These references surface in pattern design, fabric treatments, and laser work, where historic craft informs contemporary form without slipping into costume.
The lineup spans jackets, knitwear, sweatshirts, T-shirts, polos, denim, underwear, and socks. A restrained palette of red, white, and black runs through the capsule, punctuated by fine gold accents that echo the precision of metalwork. The standout piece is a zip-up leather jacket, laser-cut to recreate the depth and relief associated with hand-chased gold surfaces. This approach carries through to jacquard down vests, velvet jacquard knits, and laser-printed denim, reinforcing the collection’s tactile focus.

Sweatshirts and hoodies feature layered prints and embroidery that reference filigree structures, while gold-toned bead elements recall granulation techniques. Each design carries a Chinese-inspired name, extending the collection’s conceptual framework into language and reinforcing its cultural point of reference within everyday wardrobe pieces.
With the Year of the Horse capsule, BOSS frames the Lunar New Year as a moment of intention and momentum. The collection connects historical craft traditions with contemporary menswear, offering a measured interpretation of festivity grounded in technique, material, and clarity of design.

The BOSS Year of the Horse capsule will be available from January 5, 2026, in selected BOSS stores worldwide and online at boss.com.
