adidas Originals advances the VIRGINIA Adistar Jellyfish with two new colorways, Triple Black and Royal Blue. Created in collaboration with Pharrell Williams, the latest iterations extend the momentum of a silhouette that has already secured Footwear News 2025 Shoe of the Year recognition. After exclusive previews in 2025, both versions now arrive for a global release on February 21.

The Triple Black edition first appeared in New York City through a limited launch at Billionaire Boys Club on Mercer Street. In Las Vegas, adidas revealed Royal Blue through a sold-out exclusive drop. These early releases fueled demand and reinforced the model’s cultural positioning. The upcoming global availability opens access to a wider audience while maintaining the sneaker’s distinctive identity.

The design centers on an exaggerated, wave-like midsole inspired by the floating gills of a jellyfish. Its sculptural form gives the sneaker a dynamic presence from every angle. The layered mesh upper integrates an exoskeletal structure that builds depth and dimension. The construction emphasizes movement, with glow-in-the-dark details that activate the design in low light. Each element reinforces the futuristic tone of the VIRGINIA creative universe.
Pharrell Williams continues to use the VIRGINIA platform as a space for imagination and reinterpretation. The Adistar Jellyfish silhouette channels that vision through bold proportions and technical layering. Triple Black sharpens the design into a monochrome statement, amplifying its architectural qualities. Royal Blue highlights the fluid lines of the midsole, underscoring the sneaker’s marine-inspired references.

Retailing for $300, the VIRGINIA Adistar Jellyfish in Triple Black and Royal Blue will be available at select adidas retailers and online at adidas.com starting February 21. Signups open on the Confirmed App beginning February 16.
