Jean Paul Gaultier presents the Spring Summer 2026 campaign for JUNIOR, marking Duran Lantink’s first ready-to-wear collection for the House.

AD CAMPAIGNS

The campaign introduces a new chapter shaped by Lantink’s direction, where familiar codes take on a sharper, more immediate form through image and attitude.

Photographers Inez and Vinoodh frame the series with a focus on silhouette and presence. Styling by Jodie Barnes reinforces this approach, placing the garments in direct conversation with the body. Leon Dame leads the cast, joined by Signe Michaelsson, Emaan Zishan, and Marte Mei Van Haaster, each contributing a distinct energy to the campaign’s structure.

The visual language draws from the late 1980s, grounding the images in a period known for strong silhouettes and expressive identity. The campaign builds on this reference through controlled compositions that emphasize glamour, character, and a sense of play. Each frame keeps attention on posture, gesture, and interaction, allowing the collection to define its own rhythm.

Duran Lantink revisits core Jean Paul Gaultier elements, including marinière stripes, tattoo mesh, and trompe-l’oeil techniques. He reshapes these signatures through his own perspective, introducing shifts in proportion and layering that highlight movement and contrast. The garments operate as both reference and reinterpretation, maintaining a clear link to the House while establishing a new direction.

The campaign also engages with ideas of gender and role play. Through styling and casting, it presents a fluid exchange between identities, where clothing supports transformation rather than fixed definitions. This approach aligns with Lantink’s ongoing interest in reconstruction and recontextualization, applied here within the framework of Jean Paul Gaultier.

Art direction by Jop Van Bennekom supports the campaign’s clarity, while casting by Piergiorgio Del Moro and DM Casting brings together a lineup that reinforces its tone. Hair by Holli Smith, makeup by Thomas de Kluyver, and nails by Lora De Sousa complete the visual composition, with production by VLM Productions and music by Olf Van Elden shaping the final atmosphere.
