Solange Knowles leads the campaign for the latest Nike and Jacquemus collaboration, which introduces new colorways of the Moon Shoe. The project continues the partnership between Nike and French designer Simon Porte Jacquemus, revisiting one of the brand’s early running designs through Jacquemus’ perspective.

The Moon Shoe holds a significant position within Nike’s history of performance footwear. Jacquemus encountered the original design while exploring the Nike archives during an earlier visit. That research introduced him to the silhouette and revealed an opportunity to reinterpret it through his own design language.

Simon Porte Jacquemus described the moment of discovery during that archival visit. “Three years ago, when I first visited the Nike archives, I discovered an iconic piece, the Moon Shoe, timeless yet modern in its simplicity and execution,” he said. “I immediately saw the opportunity to write a new story and reinterpret it in our own way.”
The updated Moon Shoe appears in brown, Sail, and pale pink. Each edition preserves the construction elements introduced during Jacquemus’ earlier reinterpretation. A ruched nylon upper creates the distinctive surface texture that defines the design. Beneath the upper, a Nike Grind outsole forms the structural base of the shoe.

Jacquemus also incorporated a ballet-inspired silhouette that distinguishes this interpretation from traditional running footwear. The pale pink edition carries particular importance within the release. Jacquemus explained the reasoning behind the color choice while discussing the new chapter of the collaboration. “Today, as we enter the second chapter of this collaboration, the Moon Shoe will be released in brown and white, alongside a pale pink edition,” he said. “The choice of pale pink is rooted in the Jacquemus DNA as a sensual and naïve color that brings softness and intimacy to the silhouette, reshaping the icon through our own lens.”
Solange Knowles brings the campaign to life through her participation as its central figure. Known for her work across music, performance, and visual art, Knowles introduces a multidisciplinary presence to the project. The new Nike x Jacquemus Moon Shoe colorways are currently available through Jacquemus website and retail locations. The brown and Sail versions will also launch on March 16 through SNKRS and select Nike retail locations, including Nike Women King’s Road and NikeLab stores.
