Alpha Industries and Prototypes present a collaborative project that revisits existing garments through reconstruction. Developed within Prototypes’ Series 08: The Fat of the Land, the collection takes Alpha’s archive as its starting point and reshapes it into a new set of silhouettes. The process draws directly from garments already produced, placing emphasis on reuse and adaptation while shifting the visual language toward a hybrid of rural workwear and experimental streetwear.
CAPSULE COLLECTIONS
The project engages directly with Alpha Industries’ material history. Flight nylon, bomber constructions, and utilitarian detailing form the foundation of the collection. These elements are taken apart and rebuilt into new forms, with seams left visible. This method shifts focus away from standard production and toward a system shaped by available resources. Each piece carries traces of its origin, keeping the garment’s past present within its new configuration.

Outerwear forms the core of the collection. The ALPHA x PROTOTYPES CWU-45 Outline Bomber revisits a classic flight jacket and reconstructs it through layered panels and reworked nylon. The Toggle Bomber offers another variation, adjusting the structure through fastening details and altered proportions. Both pieces reflect a process where original components remain visible, reinforcing the idea of transformation through reconstruction.
The collection extends into utilitarian garments and graphic layers. The Outline Pant provides a functional counterpart to the outerwear, maintaining the same reconstructed approach. Graphic pieces include the Stencil Hoodie, Outline Hoodie, and Logo Hoodie, along with the Stencil Tee, Outline Tee, and SL T-Shirt. These items carry printed and embroidered elements.

The Bomber Sleeve Bag uses sections of flight jackets, turning familiar components into a new form. The Raw Reverse Embroidery Beanie and Raw Beanie Label reflect an inside-out construction approach, where seams and finishes remain visible as part of the design.
The Alpha Industries x Prototypes collection launched exclusively through Alpha Industries online platforms and at the brand’s Frankfurt am Main store.
