Samsung expands its collaboration with Sony Pictures Spider-Man: Brand New Day through a new campaign film starring Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds. The spot introduces an original story centered on Samsung Galaxy devices and footage from the upcoming movie, which arrives exclusively in theaters on July 31. Batalon also joins Team Galaxy as Samsung’s newest ambassador.

Emmy-nominated filmmaker, Marvel alum, and production designer Kasra Farahani directed the campaign. The story follows Spider-Man as he fights crime and pushes his phone through the demands of life behind the mask. Inside Peter Parker’s apartment, the Fabricator develops several devices that can handle the speed and unpredictability of Spider-Man’s daily routine.
Ned Leeds tracks Spider-Man through Spidey Tracker, the interactive fan experience that Batalon helped introduce earlier this summer. The video places Ned close to the action as he follows Spider-Man’s location and supports the larger campaign story. Samsung also includes several references throughout the teaser for viewers to discover.
The film features clips from Spider-Man: Brand New Day and gives audiences an early look at the movie before its theatrical debut. Samsung uses the campaign to preview the next chapter of its Galaxy Z series and to build toward a wider reveal during Samsung Galaxy Unpacked on July 22.

The creative rollout continues a collaboration Samsung announced earlier. By placing the Fabricator, Spidey Tracker, and Galaxy devices inside Peter Parker’s apartment, the film connects product innovation to the fictional setup. It also gives the teaser a self-contained plot while maintaining its link to footage from the upcoming theatrical release.
Keena Grigsby, Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President of Mobile eXperience at Samsung Electronics America, connects Spider-Man with ingenuity, resilience, and the ability to see new possibilities. She explains that these qualities made Sony Pictures a natural collaborator for Samsung Galaxy, which develops technology that helps people accomplish more in daily life.

Grigsby also describes the campaign as a way to create a story that fans will want to experience. Samsung places Galaxy foldables inside Spider-Man’s setting through an original narrative that supports the film and shows how the devices fit the characters’ needs. The campaign keeps the technology close to the action and gives it a clear role within the story. Batalon used the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Watch during production. He describes the Fold as a strong match for Ned and for the creation of Spidey Tracker.
The campaign will continue through the dedicated Spidey Tracker experience and its social channels. Samsung will share further updates through its official platforms and during Galaxy Unpacked. Samsung also invites customers to reserve ahead of the launch. The offer includes a $30 Samsung credit during preorder, potential savings of up to $1,230, and entry into a sweepstakes for a chance to win one of ten $500 gift cards.
