LISA has shared new details about her upcoming solo EP PRESS PLAY, due October 23, during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The BLACKPINK member described the project as a personal release shaped by her Thai roots and the experiences that brought her to her current career. Official information lists PRESS PLAY as a six-track EP released through LLOUD Co. and RCA Records.

Speaking with Fallon, LISA explained that Thai elements run throughout the record and that each song carries its own identity. She compared the structure of the EP to a movie, with individual tracks functioning as distinct characters that form one complete project. That cinematic idea also informs the title: listeners simply “press play” and enter the sequence as a whole.
LISA also teased what comes next from the record. Track four will serve as the next single, though she kept its title secret and revealed only that it begins with the letter “T.” The first song released from PRESS PLAY, “SaWaDiKa,” arrived earlier this month with a video filmed in Bangkok. The track references the Thai greeting “sawasdee ka” and debuted at No. 69 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The new EP follows LISA’s debut full-length solo album Alter Ego, released in 2025. Her official store describes PRESS PLAY as a project that returns to her beginnings in Thailand while reflecting the scale of her career today.
During the Fallon interview, LISA also spoke about the career she imagined before K-pop. She said she once considered becoming a dance teacher or working as a performer at Disneyland. Her current schedule now extends far beyond music, with film, television and live performance running alongside her solo releases.
Her feature documentary Always Lalisa, directed by Sue Kim, recently premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. The film follows a pivotal period between 2024 and 2025, covering the creation of Alter Ego, her acting debut in HBO’s The White Lotus and preparations for her solo Coachella performance. The documentary opens in IMAX and cinemas worldwide on October 12 before arriving on YouTube Premium later in 2026.

LISA will then head to Las Vegas for VIVA LA LISA, a four-show residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on November 13, 14, 27 and 28. The run makes her the first K-pop artist to headline a Las Vegas residency.
PRESS PLAY now gives that packed schedule another focal point. With “SaWaDiKa” already released and the title of track four still under wraps, LISA is keeping much of the EP concealed ahead of October 23 while placing her Thai identity firmly within the project’s concept.
