Born in Bangkok in 2003, Phuwin is signed with GMMTV and first gained wide recognition through his leading role in Fish upon the Sky. He has continued building his screen career through projects including Me and Thee, one of GMMTV’s biggest recent successes. His following now reaches audiences throughout Asia.
Alongside his work on screen, Phuwin has developed a career in music as a singer and songwriter. His interests extend beyond the creative industries as well: he trained as an engineer before pursuing work across several different fields. That willingness to explore new disciplines forms an important part of his relationship with LOEWE.
For the House, Phuwin’s ability to work across acting and music reflects an approach driven by curiosity and continued experimentation. McCollough and Hernandez point to the connection between these different areas of his work and the way he approaches each of them with genuine engagement.
“What struck us about Phuwin is how naturally he moves between mediums,” say Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez. “Acting and music – all of it comes from the same place of genuine engagement. That’s something we try to bring to our own creative process – and it means something to feel that same echo in the people who inspire us.”
Phuwin, in turn, points to the attention given to handwork at LOEWE and the time involved in producing its pieces. He sees the House’s approach to making as a source of motivation for his own creative work, particularly within an industry that changes quickly.
“What I admire most about LOEWE is their dedication to true craft – in a fashion world that moves so quickly, they still choose to make things by hand, balancing history with a modern perspective,” says Phuwin. “You can feel how much care and time the artisans put into every piece, and that inspires me to work that much harder at my own craft.”
As LOEWE’s newest brand ambassador, Phuwin joins the House at the beginning of the McCollough and Hernandez era. His appointment brings together his growing presence in television and music with an interest in how objects are made, developed and given individual character.
