Blugirl is the latest fashion house to introduce it’s Spring 2019 / Resort 2019 collection – more than thirty new looks celebrating the heritage of this famed Italian brand.
Lightness as attitude and versatility channeling a subtle seduction. Prints interact in an iconographic tale that embraces clean and graphic traits of camouflage with palm leaves as well as the pictorial gentleness of the rose patterns. Colour is the unexpected element outlining a contemporary romanticism through fluo piping, contrasting finishing and the undertones of prints that create 3D suggestions. Lightness of shapes and sharpness of cuts bestow a sense of harmony and freshness. Straight silhouettes or chiffon A-lines feature ruffles and smocking stitch that gracefully emphasize the shapes, while waistlines are gently accentuated by mini belts. Touches of glitter and georgette cut-out leaves characterize seductive duchesse dresses. A typically masculine shade of light blue defines colour backgrounds of pantsuits and cotton blouses, alternating with the leaf print. Roses maintain center stage offered in their all-over version on a new tone of cornflower blue that highlights pastel tones and on a bright white that announces the summer. Inlaid maxi roses and thread embroidered buds embellish the knitwear pieces and are matched with crêpe flare pants. Stripe patterns, drawstrings and logos convey an athleisure mood that does not sacrifice the preciousness of embroideries and special weaves. White and blue juxtapose rigorous colour block to flash of fuchsia on plain weave and stripes of knitwear delivering classic elegance that is never ordinary and combines irony and positivity. – from Blugirl
