Designer Marie-Christine Statz presented GAUCHERE‘s Spring Summer 2020 collection, that was inspired by the work of Lygia Clark and her ability to simultaneously draw the attention to the image’s edge as well as its boundlessness, on Thursday, September 26th, during the ongoing Paris Fashion Week.
Spring Summer 2020 Womenswear
“The 35 looks of the Spring Summer 2020 Défilé showcase GAUCHERE’s signature suiting and monochrome looks in deconstructed silhouettes. Dresses, jackets and coats come with rounded cut-outs that form organic shapes and accentuate different parts of the body. These rounded lines come back as a stitching detail on loose shirts. Tailored corsets made of classic menswear fabrics are layered on top of casual blazers and create a new silhouette. Chunky viscose knits as well as jackets and tops made of neoprene form voluminous bodies that are paired with skinny leather trousers, pencil skirts and shorts. The colour palette builds on light brown, beige and acid grey summer wools that are contrasted by different shades of black and navy pinstripes. In addition, lilac neoprene, denim in lemonade and silks in a mint hue define the vibe of the collection.“
