After months of anticipation and a high-profile Coachella debut in 2024, Nike has officially unveiled the Lil Yachty x Nike Air Force 1 Low “Lucky Green.” Marking the rapper’s return to sneaker design, this collaboration combines nostalgia and vivid color into one punchy silhouette. The sneaker is now confirmed to release on May 22, via Nike SNKRS and select retailers.

SNEAKERS

Originally teased during Lil Yachty’s Coachella performance, where he descended from a full-sized boat while wearing the unreleased kicks, the “Lucky Green” colorway quickly stirred buzz online. The design is an eye-catching combination of Lucky Green, Mystic Red, and University Gold rendered in glossy patent leather, channeling the flashy energy of early 2000s Air Force 1s. A sharp departure from his previous all-white iteration, this new model leans heavily into color and visual texture.

Yachty’s signature is embedded throughout the shoe, both literally and symbolically. A Concrete Boys logo appears at the heel tab and lateral side, while the phrase “IT’S US” decorates the tongue, sockliner, and clear hangtag. These recurring motifs reinforce the artist’s DIY creative community and cultural imprint, extending his Concrete brand’s narrative from music to fashion and now footwear.

The sneaker’s structure retains the classic low-top Air Force 1 form, but with a layered and expressive aesthetic that reflects Yachty’s distinct style. The red Swoosh pops against the green base, with yellow overlays adding warmth and contrast. While the color blocking is maximalist, the shape and construction stay loyal to Nike’s AF1 legacy, offering something new without straying too far from the original.

Packaging also receives a custom treatment, adding to the collectible quality of the release. Special-edition boxing, co-branded detailing, and premium finishes align with Nike’s approach to artist collaborations, where storytelling and design go hand in hand.
