Guillaume Henry’s Spring Summer 2026 collection for Patou shown on the first day of Couture Week in Paris with a portrait of sharp elegance, both in silhouette and intent. While not officially Haute Couture, the collection drew deeply from the maison’s iconic couture heritage, delivering a show where high gloss met high contrasts.
The mood was graphic yet fluid, with structured lines softened by sensual, summery fabrics. The color palette was fresh and optimistic: pale yellow, soft whites, mixed prints, and hints of playful pink. Daytime and nighttime elements were cleverly combined within single garments, balancing sophistication and Parisian charm. There were subtle nods to Jean Patou’s legacy, elevated with couture-inspired details that grounded the collection in the brand’s storied past.

Yet, for all its homage to heritage, the collection at times seemed to lose its way. In several looks, the focus shifted toward the ultra-wealthy buyer, occasionally sidelining the effortless, cool Parisian Patou girl who has long defined the brand’s spirit. The result was a collection that, while elegant and technically accomplished, sometimes felt at odds with the youthful energy and accessibility that have made Patou a standout in recent seasons.
