Nike continues its partnership with Sabrina Ionescu through the launch of the Sabrina 3, the third model in her signature basketball footwear line. Designed for on-court precision and all-around athletic performance, the new silhouette maintains the key elements athletes have trusted from the first two editions, while adding new functional upgrades and personal design elements drawn from Ionescu’s story.
The Sabrina 3 delivers a lightweight and responsive fit, paired with a forefoot Air Zoom unit and Cushlon 3.0 midsole. These familiar tools return to provide consistent energy return and comfort. Mesh pleats across the upper house internal cables for greater midfoot containment, reinforcing strength and control without sacrificing mobility. The sneaker also introduces a new traction pattern featuring a concentric “S” that reflects Ionescu’s name and identity.
Continuing her line’s visual signature, the vertical off-axis Swoosh reappears on the medial side of the shoe. This detail, first seen on the Sabrina 1, symbolizes Ionescu’s ongoing mission to break barriers. Design motifs also reference her Romanian heritage, particularly through textures that take cues from embroidery and textile work.
Sabrina describes the sneaker as a reflection of her identity and values. “This shoe represents so much of me,” she explains, pointing to its design language and materials. She also hopes the Sabrina 3 speaks directly to young athletes, especially girls, encouraging confidence on and off the court.
The launch arrives alongside her third Nike apparel collection. Made with Dri-FIT technology, the clothing line includes a unisex pant, reversible shorts and tops, full-zip sweatshirts, hoodies, and a range of T-shirts for adults and kids. The pieces are tailored to match Sabrina’s lifestyle – whether in training, traveling, or resting between games.
Lead designer Ben Nethongkome notes the importance of consistency across all three signature shoes while making space for growth. The goal was to refine the experience of the Sabrina 1 and 2, while pushing performance and design further to meet her evolving needs.
The Sabrina 3 and matching apparel will release globally on July 24 at nike.com and select retailers.
