Diesel announces the appointment of Andrea Rigogliosi as its new Chief Executive Officer. The appointment was confirmed on January 14 in Breganze, with Rigogliosi reporting directly to Ubaldo Minelli, CEO of OTB Group.
The move marks a new chapter for Diesel, which has undergone a notable shift in recent seasons under the creative direction of Glenn Martens. Commenting on the appointment, Diesel founder and OTB Group Chairman Renzo Rosso described the brand as a singular force within fashion, emphasizing its position outside the traditional luxury system while remaining closely connected to younger generations through values of inclusivity and accessibility. Rosso noted that he has remained closely involved with Diesel’s development during a challenging period for the industry and expressed confidence that Rigogliosi will strengthen the brand at a decisive moment in its evolution.
Rigogliosi brings extensive international experience across luxury, fashion, and retail, with a career spanning senior strategic and commercial roles in Europe. Most recently, he served as Global Head of Retail and Commercial at Miu Miu, where he oversaw global business growth and the expansion of the brand’s distribution network within the Prada Group.
Prior to Miu Miu, Rigogliosi held several key leadership positions within LVMH, including President Europe at Fendi, as well as General Manager roles for France and Monaco and for Italy at Christian Dior Couture. Earlier in his career, he gained managerial experience at Poltrona Frau Group and L’Oréal Luxury Products.
Rigogliosi holds a degree in International Business Administration from Bocconi University. His appointment signals a continued focus on strengthening Diesel’s global business while supporting the brand’s creative momentum under Martens.
