Rave Rvw Fall Winter 2026 Plays With Childhood Perception

A collection that treats garments as flexible objects of play shaped by oversized details and adjustable silhouettes.

Rave Rvw Fall Winter 2026 unfolds through the logic of childhood perception, where proportion shifts, materials appear animated, and play coexists with structure. Titled Child Play, the collection draws from early experiences of being a little girl, shaped by curiosity and imagination while moving within systems of rules.

FALL WINTER 2026.27 COLLECTIONS

The garments reflect ideas borrowed from children’s wear and baby doll clothing, translated into adaptable forms. A-line silhouettes, adjustable waistbands, and closures placed to alter fit allow pieces to change depending on the wearer. Buttons and ties reposition garments rather than fix them. Clothing functions as something to engage with, adjust, and inhabit, rather than remain fixed. This flexibility mirrors a child’s relationship with dress, where garments respond to growth, movement, and play.

Sleeves extend past the hand and fold back onto the arm. Buttons appear oversized, inviting touch. Collars stretch beyond expected scale. These decisions follow a child’s sense of measurement, where objects feel large, awkward, or slightly off.

Rave Rvw approaches domestic space through a reading of Beauty and the Beast, where furniture exists as a living presence. Materials associated with interiors move onto the body. Curtains, lace tablecloths, velvet upholstery, trims, piping, and covered buttons shift function and placement. These textiles, once tied to domestic framing, gain mobility through wear.

The collection moves within a perceptual space where imagination and reality align, allowing scale to shift and materials to feel animated. Rave Rvw extends its long-standing use of deadstock, vintage textiles, and discarded blankets through deeper reconstruction, transforming original objects into garments such as puffy blouses that echo upholstery and piped skirts that hold their form like lampshades.

Another reference comes from Fanny and Alexander by Ingmar Bergman, where childhood unfolds within adult systems. Interiors in the film carry authority, memory, and emotional weight. The home becomes a place of care shaped by restraint. This tension informs the collection’s more mature direction. As Rave Rvw has evolved alongside its designers, the work has shifted from overt patchwork toward more constructed and layered garments.

Boundaries within garments remain intentionally unclear. Linings surface on the exterior. Structures stay visible. Color-blocked layers appear separate while forming a single piece. Inside and outside lose distinction, echoing the way children experience clothing as both protection and expression.

The presentation takes place within the historic rooms of the Swedish Embassy in Copenhagen, accompanied by original music from AK Cinder and a live violinist. The Fall Winter 2026 runway comes to life through collaboration with PUMA and the Swedish Embassy, grounding Child Play within an environment where material history, space, and imagination coexist.
