Nike is turning up the heat on its iconic Air Force 1 Low with the upcoming “Heat Map” iteration, arriving in time for Summer 2026. The sneaker builds on the AF1’s reputation as a streetwear staple, taking cues from thermographic visuals to create a dynamic, color-driven design. This release is part of Nike’s 2026 “Heat Map” pack, following last December’s “Stadium Green” drop, which featured spray-paint detailing and a color palette reminiscent of Lil Yachty’s “Lucky Green” collaboration.

The upper begins with a premium soft black leather base, grounding the silhouette in classic AF1 structure. From there, the design transforms across the side panels into a gradient reminiscent of a heat map, blending shades of blue, yellow, red, and orange. The front half of the upper and midsole remain black, gradually giving way to a colorful blue gradient across the upper, accented by matching touches on the tongue, laces, and interior. Red and yellow detailing borders the backtab, Swoosh, and eyelet paneling, while small dots around the toe box perforations add subtle dimensionality.

The midsole echoes this effect, shifting from black at the fore to a red-and-yellow gradient toward the heel. Additional design details reinforce the heat map concept. A “Racer Blue” tone highlights the laces and sockliner, providing a bold contrast to the darker upper. The sneaker also features a distinctive blue star lace dubrae positioned above the vamp, creating a final specialized touch on the classic silhouette.

The Air Force 1 Low “Heat Map” maintains the silhouette’s signature structure, including a rounded toe box, padded collar, and clean midsole profile. The low-cut design ensures wearability across outfits, while the gradient detailing and vibrant accents inject energy into a familiar form.

This release exemplifies the AF1’s “pack mentality” philosophy, where multiple colorways are united under a central theme. The “Heat Map” approach translates visual storytelling into wearable form, echoing Nike’s tradition of evolving heritage silhouettes with contemporary concepts. Fans can expect a design that is playful, expressive, and rooted in the AF1’s iconic streetwear legacy.
