Sukeban confirms its next World Championship Fight will take place in New York, marking a major step for the Tokyo-based league as it enters the city in partnership with Nike. The event is scheduled for May 19 at Hammerstein Ballroom, with doors opening at 6:30pm and the first match set for 7:30pm.
EVENTS
At the center of the night, reigning champion Ichigo Sayaka will defend her title against longtime rival Queen of Hearts. Their rivalry carries into New York with a direct focus on continuity, positioning the title match as the defining moment of the card.

The event unfolds across five matches, bringing 22 wrestlers from Sukeban’s Tokyo roster to the U.S. stage. The lineup draws from five competing stables, each with a distinct identity within the league’s structure. Harajuku Stars, Dangerous Liaisons, Vandals, Cherry Bomb Girls, and Tokyo Toys form the core of the night, shaping a program built on faction-driven dynamics.
Nike’s involvement introduces a new layer to the presentation. The Cherry Bomb Girls will debut custom costumes co-created with the brand, extending the collaboration into the visual language of the matches. The designs operate within Sukeban’s established aesthetic, while introducing a sharper athletic framework tied to Nike’s direction.
Beyond the matches, the event expands into a broader format that includes surprise cameos and music performances. Tokyo-based creative unit Margt leads the visual concept, shaping the atmosphere through a coordinated approach to staging, graphics, and motion. A dedicated trailer supports the rollout, reinforcing the event’s position between sport, performance, and image-making.

The fight card structures the evening through a mix of title defense, multi-competitor bouts, and tag team matches. Alongside the championship fight between Sayaka and Queen of Hearts, the program includes a Gang Warfare match featuring Stray Cat, Crush Yuu, Atomic Banshee, and Babyface. Dangerous Liaisons face Harajuku Stars in a tag match pairing Lady Antoinette and Countess Rea Seto against Saki Bimi and Yukina Uehara. A Tag Team Gang Warfare match brings together Commander Nakajima and Victoria Yuzuki against teams led by Rina Yamashita, Supersonic, BINGO, Midnight Player, Delirious Dolly, and Seri Yamaoka. The card closes with an All-Star Tag Team Match featuring Mayu Iwatani and Nagisa Tachibana against Smack in the Box Misa Matsui and Kouki Amarei.
With tickets now available, Sukeban positions its New York debut as a full-scale presentation that extends beyond wrestling. The partnership with Nike, the involvement of Margt, and the scale of the roster shift the event into a larger framework, where performance, styling, and narrative align within a single night.
