Willy Chavarria presented Comunión, his Spring Summer 2027 runway show, at Espace Niemeyer in Paris. The collection centered on communal force, personal faith and the joy that people create when they gather with purpose. Chavarria framed joy as a form of strength during chaos and darkness, and used clothing to honor the objects, textures and memories that shape family life across generations.
SPRING SUMMER 2027
Comunión looked to the home as a source of identity. Colors and prints recalled fading kitchen walls, monogrammed handkerchiefs, floral pillowcases, curtains and tablecloths. Chavarria worked with Willy Red, Purple Cielo, Plastic Pink, Copper Green, Celestial Blue and Lilac, using worn yet vivid tones to suggest confidence, comfort and optimism.

The collection moved through strong-shouldered shift dresses, pleated forms, vibrant pastels, flower motifs and a cascading lace gown. A sheer trench coat and gown used vinyl flowers heat-imprinted into organza, giving couture pieces a playful, almost sticker-like surface. Tailoring appeared in sharp and relaxed shapes, often paired with shorts for a casual schoolboy effect. Padded-shoulder knits and structured shirts with the brand’s pointed collar created firm posture and direct presence.
The women’s category expanded with silk dresses, voluminous cocktail dresses, boxer shorts visible beneath pencil skirts, cropped jackets, tailored looks, leather miniskirts and work shirts. Chavarria kept the collection grounded in Chicano references while reaching a wider emotional register. His woman uses voice, presence and joy as tools of persistence, especially in difficult times.

Comunión also introduced the first part of Willy Chavarria’s upcoming UGG collaboration, ahead of its official launch this fall. Romeo Beckham and the cast debuted the unisex UGG Willy Chavarria Guard Boot, the UGG Willy Chavarria Biker and the UGG Hotel Chavarria Slipper. The footwear drew from biker culture, leather references and UGG’s familiar comfort, creating pieces Chavarria described as “fierce and friendly.”
The show extended the idea of gathering through scent and care. XINÚ scented the venue with FlordeMusgo, and each guest found a handcrafted Comunión palito at their seat. The driftwood pieces came from the coasts of Mexico and carried FlordeMusgo-infused thread, turning the object into a small ritual keepsake from the show.

The Ordinary returned as exclusive skincare partner and created Skin in Common backstage. Models, crew and team members shared the same skincare ritual before the runway, linking preparation with access, equality and care. Baltasar González Pinel created luminous skin, softly sultry eyes and a sharp tomato-red lip for MAC Cosmetics. Chris McMillan shaped dramatic hairpieces with his own styling line, drawing on rebellious references with slightly off-center placement.
After the runway, Willy Chavarria will make the Spring Summer 2027 collection available through a virtual try-on experience powered by Swap. Audiences will be able to try on every look digitally and pre-order pieces through the AI platform in the weeks after the show.
