New Balance has revealed official images of the upcoming New Balance 1906R “White,” presenting the retro tech running silhouette in a near-monotone color scheme. The new edition relies on a predominantly white upper and restrained grey and silver details, giving the familiar 1906R shape a clean finish designed for regular seasonal rotation.
SNEAKERS
The sneaker starts with a breathable white mesh base that covers much of the upper. New Balance layers matching white leather overlays over the mesh, preserving the technical construction associated with the 1906R while keeping the color treatment consistent. Silver detailing appears throughout the upper and breaks up the otherwise uniform white finish with subtle reflective touches.

The side profile introduces one of the clearest changes in tone. The signature N-Lock logo takes on a subdued grey finish, creating a measured contrast against the brighter surrounding panels. White continues to dominate the remaining sections of the upper, allowing the sneaker’s layered construction to supply much of the visual detail.

Underfoot, New Balance continues the grey detailing through the cushioning system. ABZORB pods appear within the midsole and introduce another muted tonal change beneath the white upper.

The outsole introduces one final detail to the otherwise restrained design. New Balance adds subtle paint specks to the rubber surface, bringing a small amount of texture to the tonal unit beneath the shoe. New Balance plans to release the 1906R “White” later this year.
