Grace Ling presents Oddities for Spring Summer 2027, a couture and ready-to-wear collection built around elegant goth, danger and beauty. The season develops a visual language of scorpions, vampiric collars, disintegrated foliage, fangs, talons and claw trims, bringing recurring Grace Ling codes into a darker and more theatrical context.

SPRING SUMMER 2027

The opening look establishes the collection’s central idea through a reference to Eve. Couture leaves barely cover the body while the model holds a forbidden fruit, linking the image to a theory about the origin of clothing. Grace Ling uses the scene to introduce a collection concerned with beauty that carries risk, attraction that feels potentially harmful and femininity that resists simple categorization.

Oddities treats beauty as something capable of producing discomfort. Delicacy exists beside aggression, creating an image of femininity that can feel controlled, dangerous, romantic and feral within the same collection. Grace Ling develops this tension through silhouettes and surface details that suggest flowers, claws, teeth and forms drawn from the natural environment.

Scorpions become one of the season’s recurring references, treated almost as pets within the collection’s imagined universe. Their presence contributes to the idea of beauty carrying its own defense mechanism. Vampiric collars extend that darker vocabulary, while fabrics resembling deteriorating leaves introduce fragile textures and organic forms.

The designer also returns to signature fang, talon and claw trims. These details sharpen the collection’s silhouettes and reinforce its interest in objects that sit between ornament and threat. Floral references follow the same logic. Grace Ling considers the idea of a flower petal capable of cutting, using softness as the starting point for forms that retain an element of danger.

The collection develops femininity through this range of opposing qualities without reducing it to a single visual code. Grace Ling presents the woman behind Oddities as delicate, commanding, dreamlike and feral. Her presence can shift between masculine and feminine qualities while retaining control over how others perceive her

That character becomes Grace Ling’s interpretation of a 21st-century femme fatale. Romanticism enters the collection as an intense personal condition, expressed through couture techniques, dramatic shapes and darker imagery. The clothes frame femininity as something self-defined and resistant to fixed expectations.

Couture and ready-to-wear allow Grace Ling to explore these ideas through different levels of construction while maintaining a consistent vocabulary throughout the season. Organic textures, dangerous creatures, sharp trims and references to gothic dressing give Oddities its identity.
