Sergio Hudson Brings Spy Glamour to Spring Summer 2027

The collection reverses the James Bond dynamic with sharp tailoring, saturated color and a woman cast as the agent.

Sergio Hudson Spring Summer 2027  took over the Rainbow Room at 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York, using the Art Deco setting for a collection shaped by a reversed James Bond fantasy. Hudson placed the woman in the role of the agent and the man in the secondary position, giving the season a cinematic premise rooted in control, glamour and desire.

SPRING SUMMER 2027

That idea appeared immediately in the opening look: a sharp-shouldered red blazer over a structured red dress with a high slit, finished with a long chiffon headscarf. Hudson continued to work through the strong tailoring that has defined his label, while loosening the silhouette through plunging necklines, exposed skin and lighter fabrics.

Color carried much of the collection. Fiery red, electric blue, chartreuse, orange, yellow and purple appeared across suits, dresses and eveningwear. Hudson also used black and white to sharpen the lineup, particularly through crisp shirts, sculpted jackets and long trousers. A short-sleeve French-cuff blouse updated one of the label’s established wardrobe pieces with a more relaxed proportion.

Suiting remained central. Skirt suits arrived with details such as neon-green piping and lining, while slim boot-cut trousers offered an alternative to Hudson’s wider shapes. Chiffon blouses sat beneath jackets, and embroidered lace developed an idea the designer explored through laser-cut latex in the previous season.

Hudson also revisited pieces that continue to resonate with clients. He returned to the slinky jumpsuit he created for Kendall Jenner’s 20th birthday, a design he said customers still request ten years later. Low-cut jumpsuits appeared throughout the collection, keeping the Bond reference close without turning the runway into costume.

Menswear continued to expand through a more fluid approach. Hudson showed silky T-shirts and trousers in black and white, styled with wrap belts and cummerbunds. Evening jackets came in yellow and purple satin, extending the collection’s saturated palette into the men’s offering.

The season also pushed Sergio Hudson further into accessories. Spring Summer 2027 introduced natural-diamond jewelry and eyewear, alongside the designer’s first footwear collaboration with Larroudé. The five-style capsule included Hudson’s pointed-toe stiletto pump, inspired by a silhouette his mother wore.

Eveningwear closed the show with some of its most dramatic looks. A strapless gunmetal-grey gown appeared with a sheer chiffon stole and diamond choker, tying the collection’s spy-film premise back to Hudson’s growing interest in jewelry. For all its cinematic references, the collection stayed grounded in the commercial language Hudson knows well.
