For Spring Summer 2027, Herno takes the market as its starting point, approaching it as a place where observation, knowledge and experience shape the act of choosing. The idea informs a women’s collection centered on material quality, technical research and the process behind each design decision.

Herno views the market as an environment where value requires recognition. Visitors observe, compare and assess before purchasing, developing judgment through attention and experience. The house translates this process into its own method of selecting fabrics, developing technology and defining proportions.
“We were interested in telling a method before creating a set design,” explains Herno President Claudio Marenzi. He connects the market with the way judgment develops over time, describing selection as a means of defining a point of view. For Herno, this applies directly to materials, construction and the decision to continue developing an idea when it has yet to reach the required result.
The Spring Summer 2027 wardrobe develops through three categories: Origin, Excellence and Advanced. Each examines a different part of Herno’s design vocabulary while maintaining a shared focus on fabrics and technical development.
Origin draws directly from established Herno codes. Performance fabrics and technical constructions shape functional pieces designed for warmer weather. An ultra-light raincoat revisits proportions and colors associated with the 1980s, using a subtle glossy finish and saturated shades. The same summer-inspired palette appears on a bomber jacket that interprets military references through brighter color.
Excellence places greater emphasis on fabric exploration and specialist techniques. Refined textiles and leather details define reduced silhouettes. A jacket uses peach-touch fabric and genuine leather toggles, while a linen dress incorporates an openwork à jour technique. The treatment gives traditional textile work a decorative role within the collection.
Advanced takes its cues from modernist architecture. Defined shapes meet fluid textiles, with construction controlling how the garments move around the body. White, cream and black form a restricted color palette that directs attention toward proportion and fabric.
A double-cotton coat uses clean construction and reduced detailing. Elsewhere, Herno pairs a black exterior with a butter-colored lining on a crinkle-fabric raincoat, using the contrast to emphasize material and construction choices.
The season also introduces Herno D’Atelier, a capsule of T-shirts designed in Italy and handmade by Indian master artisans. The project treats cotton as a surface for embroidery, crystals, feathers, origami and three-dimensional techniques. These interventions transform the familiar T-shirt through extensive handwork and tactile detailing.
Across Origin, Excellence and Advanced, Herno returns repeatedly to the act of selection. Fabrics determine much of the collection’s direction, while technology, proportion and construction follow a process of assessment and refinement.
Spring Summer 2027 frames fashion through discernment. By taking the market as its central metaphor, Herno focuses attention on how people recognize quality and develop personal criteria for choosing. The collection translates that idea into a wardrobe spanning technical outerwear, lightweight fabrics, architectural forms and highly worked pieces, all shaped by the house’s material-led approach.
