Loro Piana presents its Spring Summer 2027 collection, Solutions For, during Milan Fashion Week at the Biblioteca Nazionale Braidense in Palazzo di Brera. The collection develops one of the Maison’s long-standing principles: identify a need, then answer it through material, construction and function.
SPRING SUMMER 2027
The concept moves from colder days into full summer, covering outdoor life, golf, evenings, early departures and beach days. In the Maria Teresa room, original sketches, garments, bags, accessories and Grande Unita scarves appear across canvas panels, library ladders and walnut cases, while the Sala Lettura introduces fabric, tailoring, sunglasses and screen-printing displays that reveal more of the collection’s materials and construction.
For womenswear, Loro Piana develops a wardrobe around archetypal pieces including the camel blazer, cape and little black dress. The silhouette remains elongated, soft and layered, grounded by flats or low heels and paired with hats. Materials move from cashmere into linen and silk as temperatures rise, while the palette shifts through muted shades, earthy tones, dusty pastels and mineral colors faded by sun.
Outerwear includes structured coats, bombers, capes, raincoats, tweed jackets and hunting jackets. Silk sets and tailored cardigan jackets move between indoor and outdoor use. The collection also includes a summer suit, golf bomber, jeans, chambray shirts, expedition shirts, sahariennes and field jackets.
Beach dressing introduces crochet sets, apron dresses, silk pajamas, shorts, gilets, swimwear and pareo-inspired pieces. Florals appear later in the season through softened prints and floating patches of color. Bags include new versions of the Loom, Bale Softy and Extra Softy Backpack, while footwear ranges from ballerina flats and loafers to Sunday Walk sneakers and espadrilles.
Menswear follows the same functional approach through camel blazers, balmacaan coats, trenchcoats and safari field jackets. Soft construction defines the collection, with tailoring worn in informal combinations. Blazers pair with chinos, coats with jeans, and summer peacoats with wide trousers and braided raffia lace-ups.
Bombers, field jackets, quilted pieces and knitwear support transitional dressing. As summer develops, bermudas and sahariennes take a larger role, while suits become lighter and less structured. Beachwear includes guayabera jackets, printed shirts and drawstring linen trousers. Evening options include cardigan jackets, tuxedo shirt jackets and loose tuxedos in black and white.
Accessories continue the functional approach through the oversized Heddle tote, Pioneer backpack and Extra Pouch. Footwear includes golf-inspired Goodyear derbies, reverse-suede desert boots and sandals. Across both collections, Solutions For frames dressing as a response to use, season and movement, with Loro Piana building each piece around a specific purpose.
