Atelier Versace will return to the runway during Paris Couture Week in January 2027, marking an important moment for the Italian fashion house under creative officer Pieter Mulier. The upcoming presentation will introduce Mulier’s first couture collection for Versace and mark the label’s first dedicated haute couture runway show in more than a decade. The event will take place during the January 25-28 schedule, with the official date and venue still to come.

Versace confirmed the upcoming presentation through a statement shared with WWD. The announcement signals the house’s renewed focus on runway couture following several years of private commissions and red-carpet dressing. Atelier Versace last presented a dedicated couture show in July 2016, maintaining its presence in the category through individual designs for clients and high-profile appearances.
The January presentation will introduce a new creative direction for Atelier Versace under Mulier, who officially assumed his position on July 1, 2026. The upcoming couture collection will provide an early public opportunity to examine his approach to the house’s established design identity.
The return arrives during a period of transition for Versace following the Prada Group acquisition. The company has outlined its intention to develop the house through its recognizable design codes while supporting the creative direction of the new team.
Patrizio Bertelli, chairman and executive director of Prada Group, previously emphasized the importance of creativity and technical expertise within both companies. He explained that the acquisition would support the development of Versace’s distinctive aesthetic through a renewed creative approach.
Prada Group chief executive officer Andrea Guerra also addressed Versace’s progress while reporting the company’s nine-month financial results. Guerra indicated that the integration was advancing positively and that the creative team had moved into the development of finished products.
His comments provided an early indication of the preparations taking place ahead of Mulier’s debut collection. With the design team already working on garments, the January couture presentation will offer a more complete introduction to the next phase of Versace.
The return of Atelier Versace adds another significant presentation to the upcoming Paris Couture Week calendar. Its absence from dedicated couture runway shows since 2016 makes the announcement particularly important for the house, which has continued creating individual couture designs throughout that period.
Paris Couture Week will run from January 25 to 28, 2027, with Versace expected to announce the precise date and location of its show later. The presentation will introduce Pieter Mulier’s first full Atelier Versace collection and establish the next direction for the Italian house under Prada Group ownership.
