Lucas Nascimento presented his Fall Winter 2015.16 Women’s collection during the ongoing London Fashion Week.
“Successful and powerful women remain fragile and vulnerable nevertheless. Lucas Nascimento looks to this woman, the feminine, familiar woman, celebrating her in this collection. With strong fabrics, bold colours and androgynous cuts, he explores how clothing shields his ideal of woman whilst remaining revealing momentarily, with glimpses of exposed shoulders in single strap shouldered jumpsuits. The AW15 collection reinforces the core of the Lucas Nascimento brand with a strong focus on his trademark unconventional knitwear. The intricacies of his techniques, all designed, developed, programmed and knitted in-house from his studio in London, are emphasised producing garments that barely resemble wool. Padded inlayed knits form protective sweaters that simulate modern quilting, with hints of glimmer blended in lurex and silk yarn, backed with cashmere.” – Press Release
