DAKS menswear collection took Milan Fashion Week once again as its main stage, for the Fall Winter 2016 season Creative Director Filippo Scuffi honored the label’s London heritage. The elegant sentiment of English eveningwear shaped the spotlight with its new designs. While so often menswear easily follows the lines already set by classic pieces Scuffi and his design team who were inspired by the same showed designs shaped with a playful yet stylish note.
With the runway show presented at one of the most exclusive locations in the heart of Milan at Palazzo Reale‘s Sala Delle Cariatidi, the address along with the velvet invite itself promised a chic affair. DAKS celebrated the British heritage with masterfully tailored black velvet, satin as well as carefully shaped knitwear.
There are touches of an abstract template that makes direct reference to the world of art. As well as on knitwear this also features on overcoats, thees too are hand decorated, elegant silk dinner jackets and suede bags finished with detailing in piange leather. – from DAKS
At this very moment the house had another reason to look back, the DAKS house check is this year celebrating its 40th anniversary and the design was honoured with label’s design of the Daks Anniversary Check. The celebratory design comes in a woollen mode and it was especially created in England by the house’s celebrated weaver.
