Gagosian gallery in Paris is hosting an exhibition in honor of the renovation and restoration of the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris, that suffered extensive damage in a massive fire on April 15.
All proceeds from the exhibition that will include works by both modern and contemporary artists, will be donated via the Friends of Notre-Dame de Paris and its affiliated French entity La Fondation Notre Dame.
Notre-Dame is one of the most widely recognized symbols of the city of Paris and the French nation. I wish to contribute to the reconstruction of this iconic cathedral after watching, with devastation, as it was engulfed in flames. Gagosian will mount an exhibition at the Paris gallery in June to support the rebuilding of this irreplaceable historical monument. – Larry Gagosian
