SPRING SUMMER 2020 MENSWEAR COLLECTIONS

On the eve of the brand’s 10th anniversary, a beautiful, serene modernity infuses the Christian Dada Spring Summer 2020 collection as designer Masanori Morokawa looks to his roots via moving evocations of Japan’s Pilgrimage tradition. Originating from the island of Shikoku, Morokawa reconnected with his hometown’s cultural landscape having last season completed the famous pilgrimage dotted with 88 Buddhist temples. This spiritual and religious quest became the starting point for this highly personal collection.

The journey is interpreted in Morokawa’s weaving of the ancient and modern world. Those notions are expressed in elaborate designs seamlessly mixing modern takes on the pilgrim’s attire with all the elements of a contemporary wardrobe. – from Christian Dada
