Whether you work in the industry yourself, are a collector, or are simply a fashion fanatic with a passion for seeing and owning all of the hottest footwear trends, these are some great events to check out and add to your calendar.

FFaNY
The Fashion Footwear Association of New York, or FFaNY for short, holds five day trade shows a few times a year on an irregular cycle, but you can find out the date of the next FFaNY event on their website here. Events are held in Midtown New York and offer a chance for international footwear designers and brands to come together and show off their wares. This is an interesting trade event if you are interested in seeing upcoming trends from around the world and learning about new brands entering the market, as well as, of course, seeing a lot of shoes! It is a professional event that welcomes people from the fashion industry and fashion media.
Sneaker Con
If sneakers are your specific footwear passion, then Sneaker Con is where you’ll find your people! Sneaker Con is held in a number of locations both in and out of the US, including Sneaker Con Los Angeles. These events offer people a chance to see the newest concepts in all kinds of sneakers, including streetwear, performance running shoes, skate shoes, and much more. If you’re a collector, it is a great place to find rare sneakers and to show off your own favorites, and it is a generally fun event with a lot to see and do. Boston Got Sole
Boston Got Sole is another sneaker focused event, and is the biggest annual event of its kind in the New England region. With a smaller, more local feel than Sneaker Con, it is a great event for both people in the fashion industry and media and for people who just love shoes and want to trade or see the latest styles. The event is held every December and lasts for two days. In 2019, it will be on the 21st and 22nd of December, so is a great pre-Christmas event for shoe lovers!
